Romaine End Table October 11th, 2017 - 11:25:34
If you are a bit of a novice in selecting furnishings, this can be a real godsend. Usually all you have to do is pick a style (transitional, contemporary, modern, rustic, etc.) and then focus on the color of the wood or finish. Heres a little tip in that regard. If you have wood accents on your upholstered pieces, you want to pick the same type of wood, stain or color for your coffee and end table sets. This will ensure that they look like a family of pieces, rather than having something stick out like a sore thumb because its the wrong color.
For example, you can get coffee and end table sets that are long on storage as well as style. Many coffee tables come with storage space inside, accessible either by doors or through a lift top table that cantilevers up and out from the coffee table itself. The same is true of end tables. Some have shelves, others have a single drawer while still others have several drawers, allowing you to keep things out of sight and out of mind when not in use. These are perfect for families or people who have pets.
Round tables are really in this year as a style, but while round coffee tables and round dining tables have taken center stage, it can be harder to find round end tables. Thats not to say that these tables arent still trendy. Its just that traditional brick and mortar retailers have only so much room for furniture and these other round tables have captured all the press this year. Thankfully, there is still a great selection of round coffee tables online and online retailers in some cases, have them priced to move.
This will give your table a bit more bulk without taking up added space. For really small homes, you can eliminate one of the end tables entirely. While its nice to have end tables on both ends for convenience and balance, there is no hard and fast rule requiring this. You may be able to make due with a single table and perhaps add a floor lamp on the other side to add light and even things out visually.
